General Information & Deadlines

  1. The online system for abstract submission and also for changes is closed.

    After January 28, abstracts may be submitted only by persons invited to submit them by Conference Secretariat or RRI by e-mail: 

    Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online submission system by the abstract submission deadline 28 January 2019.

  2. Abstracts received via fax, e-mail or received after the deadline will not be accepted and therefore will not be considered for the programme or publication.
  3. Authors may submit more than one abstract but the number selected may be limited due to programme space.
  4. Abstracts can be submitted on the following topics.
  5. Abstracts can be amended in the online submission system until the deadline of 28 January 2019. After the deadline, all abstracts will be locked for further editing.
  6. During the submission a preferred presentation type must be selected for each submitted abstract. Please note the Committee reserves the right to make the final determination regarding the presentation format of accepted abstracts.
  7. Each abstract can be submitted for Oral or Poster presentation. All individual submissions must fulfil the requirements (see Abstract Requirements below).
    • Oral presentation
      Each presenting author will have 20 minutes to present their paper within a session consisting of 4 presentations. There will be 20 minutes allocated for Q&A at the end of each session.
    • Poster presentation
      Posters are presented in a portrait-style measuring 120 cm x 90 cm and will be displayed throughout the whole conference. The author is expected to be present at the poster location during the specified presentation time(s) to discuss the contents with the Conference participants. The exact time schedule will be known after the completion of the programme.
  8. All successfully submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the committee, which will consider its formal aspects and the content and may reconsider the pre-selected presentation type.
  9. Accepted abstracts will form part of the final programme and will be presented onsite as well as published in the official Conference Programme book. Abstracts not suitable for display will be rejected.
  10. All presenting authors will receive an acceptance/rejection notification via e-mail by 28 February, 2019.
  11. All presenting authors are obliged to register by 7 March, 2019. All incomplete and/or unpaid author registrations will be disregarded and all related abstracts will be withdrawn from the programme.  
  12. By submitting an abstract the author(s) agree with its publication in the Conference Programme book and on the Conference website after the Conference. It is understood that they are not relinquishing copyright to the RRI 2019 Conference. 

Abstract Requirements

  1. All abstracts must be written in English.
  2. When submitting your abstract, consider and choose the corresponding scientific topic and keywords.
  3. The abstract title is limited by 10 words and must be submitted using the Sentence case (eg. This is the title of my abstract)
  4. Up to 5 authors can be submitted under one abstract (including presenting author).
    The presenting author is selected first; other authors can be added only when the presenting author is submitted. However, the authors order could be changed if needed by swopping the names at the list of the co-authors.
  5. Maximum abstract length for paper/poster: 250 words
  6. Please have your abstract checked for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and formal structure. The organiser reserves the right to edit abstracts if necessary prior to the publication.   
  7. Photos are allowed within the abstract text.
  8. No additional files could be uploaded.
